Working from a customer generated request, the lead geospatial data specialist uses their geospatial data knowledge and expertise to manipulate and transfer digital data, performs quality checks on all media to ensure order accuracy, confirms an address, prepares forms, packages and mail the media to customers support locations worldwide. Acquires, maintains and disseminates data in support of geospatial and intelligence activities. Perform inventory management and transport of supplies and consumables located at both onsite and offsite locations. Serves as the team leader, and provides process improvement recommendations and team oversight.
Required Skills and Education
10 years of experience within a related field coupled with a bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Media Services, data sources and operations centers, service centers, and business processes
Have ability to write scripts/applications using Visual Basic or other computer languages.
Have experience in acquiring, maintaining, replicating, disseminating, archiving, and troubleshooting GEOINT data.
Have background in connecting web applications to databases, database administration and database systems.
Familiarity with current geospatial-intelligence products, image flow, and conducting media transfers
Knowledge of Custom Media Generation System (CMGS), Tailored Media Generation System (TMGS) and STIL Media Services functions as it pertains to data dissemination processes.
Knowledge of GEOINT products and data, satellite imagery systems and related information libraries
Knowledgeable in a variety of software and services to assist customers with geospatial-intelligence request for data
Background in Customer Service processes with an understanding of technical problems, process improvement, and solutions as they relate to the current and future business and mission environment for Federal geospatial
Have a background in implementing change, communicating change and changing business processes
Experience that has led to the understanding of Intelligence Community mission and business processes in order to help users solve their problems
Expert in using collaboration/social software tools
Experience with writing SOPs, CONOPS, and other documents.
